CertX trainings – Terms and Conditions
Attending the Event
CertX accepts no liability if a participant is unable to attend an event due to adverse weather conditions or any travel disruption.
For certain events, CertX may suggest exclusive offers and discounts for hotels. These discounts may vary depending on the location of the event. For further details about the offers or hotels, please refer to the booking conditions of the event you are attending. Participants must handle their own bookings.
Booking and Cancellation
Provided that the cancellation has been timely sent to CertX in writing, a cancellation of participation will be handled as follows:
|Up to 6 weeks / within 2 weeks after the booking date||Refund of 100% of the registration fees paid deducted by an administrative fee of EUR 50 / CHF 60|
|Up to 2 weeks before the event||Refund of 50% of the registration fee paid deducted.|
|Less than 2 weeks before the event||No refund|
Should you need to cancel your participation, please inform CertX in writing (firstname.lastname@example.org). In this case neither the organisers nor their representatives will be liable for any loss incurred by any participant, nor will they refund any money paid to them in connection with the event.
A participant, who cannot attend, may send a substitute participant without any additional cost. Please inform CertX in writing (email@example.com) prior to the event.
A confirmation of your registration will be sent to you immediately. If you have not received an email confirmation within 24 hours after your registration, please contact the team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A confirmation of your attendance will be sent to you provided you attended the defined number of hours (usually 80% or 100%) and that the fees have been paid in full.
For applicants for a certificate the rules and obligations for person certification apply in addition.
CertX welcomes participants from overseas but if you are resident outside the European Union (EU) or Switzerland you should ensure that you have a valid visa and can comply with all immigration requirements before registering to an event taking place in the EU or in Switzerland.
If you do not have a visa before registering and you are unable to obtain one, cancellation fees will be levied. Any travel costs or any other expenses whatsoever incurred are entirely the participant’s responsibility.
Payment must be made in full at the time of registration unless specifically stated.

CertX is committed to handling your personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”)1. We will use your personal data for event administrative matters and communications for the purpose of managing your registration and participation to the event and based on the necessity for CertX to meet its obligations as organiser of the event (see also paragraph 8).
