Head of Automotive Cybersecurity
Head of Automotive Cybersecurity
to lead and grow our automotive cyber security business in Europe and worldwide
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Part of the CertX Management Team responsible for the Cybersecurity department. Reporting to administratively to the MD of CertX GmbH and functional to CEO of CertX
- Lead auditor / assessor for evaluating cybersecurity UN ECE R155, 156 and ISO/SAE 21434 following ISO/PAS 5112 or VDA A-CSMS Red Volume guidance.
- Investigating about testing procedures and related infrastructure for evaluating vehicle / automotive subsystem security.
- Initiating, guiding and conducting international research projects for automotive and/or industrial cybersecurity, and related topics
Educational / Professional Qualifications:
- Studies in either cyber security, informatics, telecommunications, electrical engineering or similar sciences in with confirmed analytical competencies (Master, PhD or equivalent).
- 5 years’ experience in automotive CS projects, industrial background is a strong plus.
- Experience in certification projects (either as auditor or auditee).
- Certification by a recognized institute as cyber security / industrial security expert or demonstrated work experience in security projects.
Key Competencies:
- In depth knowledge about automotive cybersecurity related references, such as UN ECE R155, ISO/SAE 21434, ISO/PAS 5112 is required (UN ECE R156 / ISO/SAE 24089 a plus)
- Knowledge about other information / cyber security standards such as ISA/IEC 62443, CEN/TS 50701, ISO 27K series, ISO 15408/CC is a strong plus
- Knowledge about cyber security regulatory landscape (incl. EU NIS directive, EU Cybersecurity Act, EU GDPR, EU RED directive)
- Ability to unlock business growth with a spirit of entrepreneurship.
- Creates and maintains customer relationships.
- Ability to build and lead a team.
- Very dynamic and initiative personality (selfstarter)
- Excellent communication skills in English and German (both C1)
- French language skills are a strong plus.

Lead Assessor for Automotive Functional Safety
Lead Assessor for Automotive Functional Safety
to support our clients in demanding automotive functional safety projects worldwide.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Conduct functional safety assessments according to ISO 26262 and ISO 21448
- Keep abreast of new functional safety standards and developments in functional safety practices and technologies such as ISO 21448 (SOTIF) and ISO 21434
- Support functional safety assessments, audits and certifications in other domains, e.g. for IEC 61508, IEC 61511, ISO 13849, IEC 62061, IEC 61496, IEC 62304
- Participating and conducting international research projects for autonomous vehicles
Educational / Professional Qualifications:
- Studies in either informatics, telecommunications, electrical engineering or similar sciences in with confirmed analytical competencies (Master, PhD or equivalent).
- 3 years’ experience in relevant industry projects in the automotive functional safety domain.
- Experience in auditing, certifications and/or assessments of functional safety in applied products related to automotive (as applicant or as assessor/auditor)
Key Competencies:
- In depth knowledge of the functional safety standard ISO 2626 and ISO 21448 (SOTIF)
- Experience in design and production aspects in products related to functional safety.
- Ability to handle the relationships in a (research)project.
- Dynamic and self-starting personality.

Research Engineer for ADAS and autonomous vehicles
Research Engineer for ADAS and autonomous vehicles
to support our numerous multinational research projects .
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Represent CertX in several EU and Swiss funded research projects such as AWARD, Orchestra and OPEVA.
- Execute those projects and if required organize CertX internal support.
- Develop new certification scheme and principals for autonomous vehicles
- Support certification and inspections projects according to ISO 26262 under the supervision of the lead assessor
- Keep abreast of new functional safety standards and developments in functional safety practices and technologies such as ISO 21448 (SOTIF), ISO 21434 and upcoming AI standards
Educational / Professional Qualifications:
- Studies in either informatics, telecommunications, electrical engineering, or similar sciences in with confirmed analytical competencies (Master, PhD or equivalent).
- Post graduate studies or 1-2 years of experience in the functional safety or AI environment
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of the functional safety standard ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 (SOTIF).
- Motivation to conduct and run research projects to learn and grow with us.
- Ability to handle the relationships in a multinational (research)project.
- Dynamic, outgoing and self-starting personality.
