AI PROCESS AND PRODUCT CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT

At CertX, we provide a structured and thorough conformity assessment process designed to ensure that your AI systems meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Our assessment is both robust and adaptable, ensuring that it aligns perfectly with the unique context of your organization and the specific AI systems you deploy.

1. Scoping the Assessment

The process begins with a detailed scoping phase, where we collaborate closely with you to define the precise requirements for assessment and certification. We consider various factors, such as the intended use, regulatory environment, and specific characteristics of your AI systems. This mutual understanding enables us to tailor the assessment to your needs, ensuring a focused and relevant evaluation.

2. Applying the Assessment Schema

Once the scope is defined, we apply our comprehensive Assessment Schema. This schema, grounded in internationally recognized standards like ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42, helps us systematically identify the relevant AI objectives and requirements that are pertinent to your organization and AI applications. The schema ensures that every aspect of your AI system is evaluated according to best practices and global benchmarks.

3. Gap Analysis

We then request high-level documentation from you. This documentation provides an overview of your organization’s AI processes, governance, and system architecture. Our team uses this information to conduct an initial gap analysis, identifying any significant gaps in compliance or performance that could impact the detailed assessment. If major gaps are identified, we notify you immediately so that they can be addressed before proceeding.

4. Detailed Documentation Request

If no major gaps are found, or once they are resolved, we move forward with a detailed gap analysis. This involves a more in-depth request for technical documentation, covering aspects such as algorithmic design, data management, system integration, and testing protocols. The detailed documentation is essential for our comprehensive evaluation, ensuring that your AI system meets all necessary standards and regulatory requirements.

5. Technical Testing and Inspections

Depending on the scope, the assessment may also involve specific technical tests. These tests are designed to measure critical metrics of your AI system, such as accuracy, robustness, and fairness. In some cases, we might also request inspections of the tests performed by your team to verify compliance with the required standards. Our tests and inspections are derived from the latest guidelines and best practices, ensuring that your AI systems are thoroughly validated.

 6. Audit and Review

Following the detailed documentation review and technical tests, we conduct a rigorous audit. This audit is complemented by multiple reviews, ensuring that every element of your AI system’s design, implementation, and operation meets the necessary criteria. Our expert auditors and reviewers bring a deep understanding of AI technology and its regulatory landscape, ensuring a meticulous assessment.

 7. Certification Decision

All findings from the documentation review, testing, and inspections are consolidated into a comprehensive report. This report is the foundation for our certification decision. If your AI system meets all the required standards, we will issue the conformity assessment certificate, a testament to your system’s quality and compliance. In cases where issues are identified, we provide detailed feedback and guidance on how to achieve compliance.

 8. Continuous Improvement

Certification is not the end of the journey. We encourage a continuous improvement approach, where ongoing monitoring and periodic re-assessments help maintain the highest levels of compliance and performance as your AI systems evolve.
