Fribourg, Switzerland – 11th of June 2025 – CertX, a global leader in functional safety, AI assurance, and cybersecurity services, today announced it is joining the ecosystem of the NVIDIA Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab, a foundational element of NVIDIA Halos—a comprehensive safety system for autonomous machines and physical AI.

The lab is the first-of-its-kind to be accredited by ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), integrating functional safety, cybersecurity, AI safety, and regulatory compliance into a unified approach. CertX brings its deep technical expertise and global presence, via its affiliation with SGS, to support the safety, trustworthiness, and certification of AI-driven systems across sectors including automotive, robotics, and industry.

CertX’s Role in a Groundbreaking Initiative

CertX welcomes NVIDIA’s initiative to have inspection reports from its ISO/IEC 17020-accredited lab recognized as valid inputs in the assessment and inspection activities of technical services and certification bodies. This approach promotes greater alignment, efficiency, and trust across the certification ecosystem for safety-critical and AI-powered systems. With teams across Europe and North America and backed by its affiliation with SGS — the world’s leading testing, inspection, and certification organization — CertX provides a powerful combination of global reach and tailored local support to help bring AI-powered innovations to market safely and efficiently.

CertX is already engaged with NVIDIA on assessments related to cybersecurity and functional safety for ADAS and autonomous driving systems, making this new partnership a natural extension of a well-established collaboration.

The lab directly supports OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers integrating NVIDIA platforms by simplifying complex safety and cybersecurity assessments, with the intent to help bring efficiencies to certification pathways and enable faster, safer market entry. These efficiencies are particularly critical for Level 3 and Level 4 autonomous vehicles, where regulatory demands and system complexity are intensifying globally.

Since 2018, CertX has supported pioneering startups, OEMs, Tier 1s, and mobility providers in the autonomous driving ecosystem. Leveraging deep cross-domain expertise in functional safety, cybersecurity, and AI, CertX ensures that systems are not only compliant but also explainable, robust, and aligned with international standards. As part of SGS, CertX offers both the agility of a specialized body and the global reach of a world leader in inspection and certification.

We are committed to fostering digital trust and delivering rigorous AI assurance at scale,” said Vincent SABOT, CEO, CertX. “By recognizing the inspection reports of the NVIDIA Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab, we’re supporting the industry’s move toward more transparent, reliable, and secure AI — while enabling developers to bring innovative systems to market faster and more safely.
